Down The Lane Workshop is a Cornwall-based cabinet making studio specialising in bespoke cabinetry and fitted furniture.
I design and build made-to-measure wardrobes, alcove cabinets, media units and kitchens, each tailored to the space and how it’s used.
From heritage manor houses and luxury marine fit-outs to private homes, every piece I build balances modern functionality with traditional timber craftsmanship, creating furniture that feels like an intentional, permanent part of your home.

Trained the traditional way
I grew up around my dad’s wooden boatyard, where nothing is square and everything has to last. I trained at the Building Crafts College and served my time in the trade. Traditional techniques where they matter, modern machinery where it makes the work more precise.
One maker, start to finish
The person who measures your room is the person who makes and fits the furniture. Nothing gets handed on, and nothing gets lost along the way.
Careful with materials
Timber from responsibly managed forests, sourced locally where I can. As little packaging and waste as possible, and I’ll repair rather than replace when that’s the better answer.
