Down The Lane Workshop is a Cornwall-based studio specializing in bespoke cabinetry and fitted furniture. We design, build, and install custom wardrobes, alcove cabinets, media units, and kitchens.

Our Approach

By pairing traditional English joinery and cabinetry with modern woodworking techniques, we produce clean, timeless furniture that sits naturally within your home. Each project aims to balance practicality, proportion, fine detail, and subtle sophistication.

Our Roots

Our name comes from our original Cornish workshop – a humble, rain-soaked space buried at the end of an overgrown path. Since then, we’ve come a long way. The animals relocated, the plants moved outside, and the roof made watertight (most of the time). Our name remains a nod to those early days, when finding us meant pulling on wellies, splashing through puddles, and taking a walk down the lane.

Who We Work With

Located in Cornwall, we regularly work across Falmouth, Newquay, St Agnes, St Ives, Rock, and the surrounding areas, as well as taking on select projects across the South West and UK. We partner directly with homeowners, as well as interior designers and architects, offering both full bespoke cabinetry packages and select architectural joinery.
